Water immersion test chamber is a device used to test electronic products, mechanical equipment and materials, by simulating the underwater environment, testing the waterproof performance and sealing performance of the product. The test sample is completely submerged in water and tested at different depths to test the performance and tolerance of the material or product.The water immersion test chamber is actually a test chamber for IPX7 and IPX8 waterproof grades under the IEC60529 standard.
Water immersion test chamber is mainly to test the shell and sealing performance of the product by simulating the use environment of the product under water to ensure that the product will not be damaged by water intrusion when used under water.
Specifically, the IPX7/8 immersion test chamber works as follows:
Place the sample in the cylindrical water tank of water immersion test chamber, and then filling water into the test chamber until the sample is completely submerged in water, LIB water immersion test chamber is equipped with automatic water intake system and the system will stop until the set water level is reached.
Then, a pressure device is applied to the water in the test chamber to simulate the underwater use environment of the product. Generally, the test pressure of IPX7 requires a water depth of 1 meter and continuous soaking for 30 minutes; IPX8 can be set according to different test needs, higher pressure and longer test time, such as water depth of 30 meters, continuous soaking for several hours. During the test, observe whether the sample has water leakage.
Place the sample in the test chamber and seal the chamber. Then, a certain pressure is applied to the air in the test chamber to simulate the underwater use environment of the product. The general air pressure can be set at about 0.2MPa relative pressure. During the test, observe whether the sample has gas leakage phenomenon.

The sample rack at the top of the tank is placed and the height can be adjusted. Due to the potentially large weight of the test piece and the high height of the tank (which will be equipped with steps), in order to facilitate and save effort to lower and lift the sample during the test, the immersion test chamber has added more automation elements, and the pneumatic hydraulic rod automatically opens and closes the lid. The hanging basket can be added and the sample to be tested can be placed in the hanging basket. The lifting of samples in the basket is controlled by a separate remote control. Basket size, tank size and overall equipment height can be customized by the user. The immersion depth of the sample can be flexibly set.
